PRESENTATION OF TEMPUS COMPUTERIZED TRAINING CONSULTING CENTER HELD IN TASHKENT UNIVERSITY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES


Organizers – TEMPUS team of the project 45021-TEMPUS-2008-UK-JPCR “NEW MASTERS PROGRAMME IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE” and Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT)
Participants– around 30 directors and librarians of the Tashkent university, vice rector of TUIT, Mrs. Aziza Abdurakhmanova, TEMPUS Programme coordinator in Uzbekistan, NTO and coordinators of other TEMPUS projects from foreign countries, that are working in Uzbekistan.

Opening ceremony of TEMPUS computerized training consulting center was held in Tashkent University of Information Technologies
Tashkent University of Information Technologies is equipped by modern computers and other hardware tools thanks to project 45021-TEMPUS-2008-UK-JPCR “NEW MASTERS PROGRAMME IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE”.
The main purpose of the Centre is contributing to the process of preparation of high quality specialists in library and information sciences and for organising effective teaching and learning with use of new information technologies.
Dr. A.Yusupov, Dr. M. Rakhmatullaev, D. Khairpova did presentation about purposes and TEMPUS project activities.
There were very important discussion and experience exchange with guests Gerald Cullen (Dresden Technical University) (originally from Ireland), Paul East (Dresden Technical University) (originally from Great Britain), Vitaliy Novoselov (Kyrgyz Russian and Slovian Institute) and Rustam Nazarov (Tajikistan Technology University) from other TEMPUS projects.
There was a question answer session between participants and TEMPUS team members about future perspectives and foreseen activities of the project. TEMPUS team activity was approved by some professors and librarians, as well as by Mrs. Aziza Abdurakhmanova, TEMPUS Coordinator in Uzbekistan.
