ANRI BARSEGH NERSESYAN

  • Born in 1936 on February 27 in Stalingrad /Volgograd/.
  • 1952 finished the Yerevan secondary school after F. Dzerzhinsky.
  • 1952 was admitted to the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Yerevan State University.
  • 1957 graduated from Yerevan State University.
  • 1957-1970 worked at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of Arm. SSR as
    a junior and then a senior researcher.
  • 1958-1962 studied and completed the post-graduate course of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR by
    distance learning.
  • 1958-1995 lecturer at Yerevan State University Faculty of Physics and Applied Mathematics and in Yerevan
    Engineering University.
  • 1962 Under the guidance of M.M. Jrbashyan, he defended his PhD thesis, receiving the scientific degree
    of candidate of physical-mathematical sciences.
  • 1970-1979 Head of the Department of Higher Mathematics and Mathematical Physics of the Faculty of
    Physics of Yerevan State University.
  • In 1977 received the scientific degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
  • 1979-1986 Head of the Department of Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics of the Institute of
    Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of Arm.SSR.
  • 1986 Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Arm.SSR.
  • 1989 was awarded the title of professor.
  • 1993, 1994 for the purpose of scientific cooperation he arrived to GFR, Kuwait.
  • 1996 was elected as Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
  • 1997 Academician-Secretary of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
  • 1998-2006 Director of the Fundamental Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of the
    Republic of Armenia.
  • 2005 Editor of the “World of Science” scientific journal of the National Academy of Sciences of RA.
  • 2006 was appointed advisor to the director of the fundamental scientific library of the National Academy
    of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
  • 2007-up to date Head of the Department of Differential and Integral Equations of the Institute of
    Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
