MAYA HOVHANNES GRIGORYAN

Born on April 30, 1978, Yerevan.
1985-1995 – Graduated Yerevan basic school №162 named after Siamanto.
1995-2000 – Graduated with honors from Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan, Faculty of Philology, majoring in “Armenian Language and Literature”.
2000-2004 – Graduated from Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan. Post-Graduation Course.
2009 – Defended PhD Thesis on “Vigen Khechumyan Short Prose” at NAS RA Institute of Literature after M. Abeghyan. Was awarded the academic degree Candidate of philological sciences.
2016-2018 – Graduated with honors from NAS RA International Scientific Educational Center receiving a master’s degree in “Library and Information Sources”.
2021 – Registered in the doctoral program of the NAS RA Institute of Literature after M. Abeghyan.
2001–2021 – Worked in the Department of Bibliography and Library Studies of the National Library of Armenia.
2009-2012 – Worked concurrently at Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan, Faculty of Philology, as a Lecturer of the chair of “Armenian Language and its Teaching Methodology”.
2015 – Was one of the coordinators of “ArmBookExpo2015” exhibition.
2015-2021 – Headed the Department of Bibliography and Library Science of the National Library of Armenia.
2015 – up to now Responsible secretary of scientific-methodological journal “Bulletin of Armenian Libraries”.
2020 – present, lecturer at the Chair of Museology, Library Studies and Bibliography of Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan, Faculty of Culture.
2021-2022 – Scientific Secretary of “Vatche and Tamar Manoukian” Matenadaran of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin under the high direction of His Holiness.
2022 – Is appointed the director of the Fundamental Scientific Library of the NAS RA of the Republic of Armenia.
Author of about 40 scientific articles, compiled and edited bibliographies and collections of articles. Participated in a number of conferences. Created and coordinated a number of electronic databases of the National Library of Armenia. Was an opponent of 4 PhD Thesis related to the library sphere.
Married, has two sons.
